British TV presenter Dan Snow has joined prisoner rehabilitation initiative The Clink Charity as Group Communications Ambassador.

The charity teaches prisoners essential skills required to 'create high quality dishes and provide excellent service' in its restaurants, while The Clink Gardens trains prisoners in horticultural skills and techniques. Snow commented 'The history of crime and punishment is sometimes a murky one. To bear witness to how far we have come with training initiatives such as The Clink Charity and Restaurants shows how much we have progressed as a society. Focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment has real potential to reduce the constant spiral of crime for the benefit of society as a whole and The Clink demonstrates this every day'.
